About this house rental
With three cozy bedrooms featuring a queen bed, a full bed, and sofa trundle bed, guests find plenty of space for a great night's sleep. The trundle bed is more suitable for 1 adult or 2 children or 1 adult/1 child. Bedroom 3 also doubles as a sitting/reading room with a beautiful view out the back sliding glass doors. This room also has a washer/dryer for guest use, if need be. The single bathroom includes a refreshing walk-in shower, perfect after a day of exploring, boating, 4-wheeling, etc. Enjoy a comfortable stay with heating and AC to keep the temperature just right. This wonderful house offers a nice blend of comfort and simplicity.
Enjoy playing in the game room where you will find foosball, air hockey, ping pong, corn hole and magnetic darts. You may also enjoy bringing your own board games to sit around the table and play.
You will find peaceful tranquility and serenity when using the outdoor spaces. There is a large picture window in the living room with a beautiful view of the rolling hills of the Cumberland Plateau and beautiful sunrises. The side and back yards are very picturesque in a park-like setting. Sit on the upper deck in the summer time, and you will feel like you are in a tree house or enjoy stargazing after dark. Just so beautiful! This is a residential area. The house sits on 3 acres. Host lives right next door on the same property.
Other things to note:
Guests can feel free to hike around the back yard to enjoy the park-like setting. The property boundary is marked with an old barbwire fence. Don't be surprised if you see the host enjoying the great outdoors as well. Feel free to say "Howdy".
Stunning park-like setting around back and south side. Large front porch for enjoying coffee/tea while watching the sunrise or relaxing any time of day. There is a fire ring out front. Firewood can be purchased at the Exxon on the way in, 1 mile from the house. Plenty of room for boat parking and vehicles.
There is a propane fireplace in the living room in case there is a power outage during winter months. If the power goes out, please contact the host. The gas will need to be turned on.
We do have furniture for the upper deck. We keep it in the basement during the winter and bring it back out for the spring, summer and fall.
Please do not light a campfire on windy days. If in doubt, just ask the host first. State burn permit required Oct. 15 - May 15. Ask host for more information about the burn permit.
The dining room table seats 6. There are 4 chairs around the table. The other 2 chairs are in Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2. Feel free to put them around the table if needed.
Host lives next door on same property and can be reached through the VRBO app or by walking over to say hello if you see us out.
Host may occasionally be piddling around in the barn onsite. Guests do not have access to the barn.
You are likely to see friendly neighbors out in their yards or out walking for fresh air and exercise.
