About this house rental

Prefer longer stays, ten day minimum. This is my personal home with my own things that I use everyday; my books, my dishes, my sofas and chairs. No corporation or business just me, sharing my home. Please love and enjoy while you are here, relax.

A perfect base for visiting local family, scoping out our great little city for a potential move, staying nearby three major hospitals, special events, or for having a great rest and vacay in historical Chattanooga, TN.

You can make yourself at home in this all brick, red oak hardwood floored home built in 1960. No chemical cleaners or artificial smells used here at all, and 100% cotton / linen towels and sheets - beeswax candles. Offers an atrium room and a dining room and a full walk in basement/1 car garage with windows for storing your things along with an extra refrigerator, laundry, garage door, workshop, gardener's sink, and shelving. There are 2 bedrooms (3 bedrooms, but one used as an office) and currently 1.5 baths. One bedroom has a double bed and at the moment the biggest bedroom is not furnished with a bed, but there are linens and other sleeping spaces on two huge sofas in the living room and on the sleeper sofa in the atrium. There are also very clean already inflated camp mattresses available.

I don't have a TV, but there is a small mac that you can watch Amazon Prime or YouTube Premium on. For longer term renters (1+ months), I can negotiate with you on this. Kitchen has everything you need, unless you need a microwave or a standard coffee pot! I do have a moka pot, several french presses, and an areopress for coffee!

There are blinds on most windows, I just keep them up most of the time (if you noticed in photos).

If you're looking for a neighborhood that is "10 minutes" to everything - downtown Chattanooga, UTC, and Northshore in one direction, and Hamilton Place Mall area, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Fresh Market in the other direction, then this home is perfect for you.

If you're looking for a green neighborhood where neighbors walk dogs and stroll babies under shady old growth trees, then this home is perfect for you. Lot is just at 1 acre, with a huge backyard and outdoor grill for campfire/hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. at night, and watching and listening to many varieties of birds in the morning with the smell of honeysuckle or magnolia. Huge double car carport and plenty of parking. Forest walking path in the backyard woods for little adventures.

*Please note that although the living space is on one floor, the front, back, and garage to kitchen doors all require walking up a few stairs.*
