About this apartment rental
The Old Pottery is the lower section of a traditional bank-built stone building, which originally formed part of a 17C water mill. Most of the mill is long gone, however the beck with its narrow dam and waterfall, that powered the mill wheel is a stone's throw from the cottage.
Living Spaces
From the shared courtyard and parking area (with allocated parking for 1 vehicle) you go down a small set of steps to a private patio garden.
With the accommodation all on one level, the main living space is open plan; the comfortable sitting room area has a plump sofa and armchair set around a gas effect fire, adding a warmth and ambience in winter months. The kitchen is well equipped to rustle up a quick lunch or hearty dinner.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Off the main living space lie the two bedrooms, one a comfortable super king size the other a single. The bathroom is a nice mix of old and new with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC.
Garden Spaces
Outside the little patio garden catches the afternoon sun, perfect for relaxing with a long drink or dining alfresco to the sound of waterfall.
All in all this is a super little cottage apartment, thoughtfully refurbished by its owners to offer their guests a comfortable base to both spend time relaxing and exploring the landscape. It is within the local UK National Park that is entirely a UNESCO World Heritage Site, within the South Lakes Peninsular of the Lake District. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, canoers, golfers, bird watchers are a couple of miles from the local Osprey centre at Foulshaw Moss.
