Escape to this multi-generational family estate on the eastern, sandy beach "Gold Coast" shore of turn-of-the-century Soo-Nipi Park at Lake Sunapee, absolutely the best spot on the whole lake! With 300 feet of private white sandy beachfront, clear fresh water for swims or skates, and backwoods trails for walking and cross-country skiing, plus an acre of lawn and garden, the property offers a private 360-degree oasis filled with nature. The main house second floor offers five bedrooms, including a king MBR and bath; two single rooms, and two doubles (that can be combined), sharing a full bath with shower and antique clawfoot tub. There is also a half-bath on the main floor. The "Boys' House" includes a queen bedroom and a bunk room, connected by a full "jack and jill" bathroom. NOT listed in the bedrooms is the cozy romantic “Beach House”, available only seasonally, which is a full queen bed with small but very functional full BA overlooking the beach and separate from the Main House and Boys House. The Main House stays cozy with a kitchen wood stove, living room stone fireplace, and electric heating, which supplies the Boys House; no heating on the Beach House. Large airy kitchen with prep island and breakfast table complement open dining and living areas in the Main House, all with expansive window lines to the outside; full laundry facilities are on the second floor where the bedrooms are located. Period furniture, antiques, and wall libraries create a strong sense of comfort and permanence. Shore House is particularly enchanting in the colorful fall leaf season, and in winter when the lake freezes over, snow is falling, and you are sitting by the fireplace watching the outdoors. It is also a great spot to call home base while you are visiting the beautiful Lake Sunapee area, with its all-season attractions. Whether gathering with family or friends, and perfect for little ones, this lovely estate provides an excellent setting for making lasting memories.
