Nolde in Southern Jutland is an enchanting old country house. Here you can stay with one or two families and experience the special atmosphere. It's the ideal place to settle down if you're looking for peace and privacy, as the fields stretch out all around the house. Here you can get away from the modern surroundings and feel the spirit of an old-fashioned, rustic interior.
From the moment you arrive, you'll feel that the house has a lot of soul and many stories under its thatched roof. This is the perfect opportunity to put down the phones and maybe even turn off some of the electric lights. Instead, light some candles and feel the historic and nostalgic atmosphere wrap around you. You can sit by candlelight with a classic in your hand and for a moment almost think you've left the 21st century. In the large kitchen, there's space for you to cook together. Sitting in the dining room under the chandelier surrounded by patterned wallpaper, you can enjoy the evening light coming through the curtains. If you've brought your friends, there's enough sleeping space for all of you. In the rooms, you'll also notice many fine details. Maybe the little ones can take a ride on the old rocking horse.
Outside, there's plenty of space and secret corners for the kids to play hide and seek. Run across the fields through the morning mist or take some great pictures of the kids and nature. You can also relax in the garden set in the courtyard between green plants and feel the cobblestones under your bare toes. In the fall, you can sit in silence under a blanket while the fire crackles and the trees change into their red-brown robes.
There are many opportunities for hiking and cycling in the area. You can take a walk along the river or cycle to Min Købmand in Bylderup-Bov to do your shopping. In Tønder you can experience a cozy town with beautiful old buildings. Take a look at Drøhses hus, for example, which is located on the pedestrian street and tells a story about the Baroque period. You can also take a trip past Schackenborg Castle and enjoy lunch in the café in Herskabsstalden.
