    As a solo guest, I couldn’t have chosen a better place than E-Fun Dive Resort in Dauin. This intimate resort, with only 10 rooms, creates a calm, friendly atmosphere where you never feel anonymous or alone. It’s small, peaceful, and personal — exactly what many solo travelers look for. The resort features a small swimming pool, direct access to the beach, and well-kept surroundings that invite you to slow down and enjoy the moment. It’s easy to relax here, whether you’re diving, resting, or simply watching the sea. What truly makes the difference are the people. The staff don’t just do their jobs — they genuinely care: 🌟 Isa — welcoming, attentive, and always making sure you feel comfortable. 🌟 Juvy — reliable, kind, and very helpful with anything you need. ❤️ 🌟 Christy — organized and thoughtful, ensuring everything runs smoothly. 🌟 Arlen — warm-hearted and always ready with a smile to serve your breakfast. 🌟 Sinthia — shy and nice, making solo guests feel especially at ease. :)) 🌟 Hanna - the new shy staff member, good luck. And of course, the resort’s four-legged star: 🐶 Sausage, the crazy cute puppy (Ero Bau) who adds joy, laughter, and instant smiles to every day. Breakfast is highly recommended — fresh, tasty, and a great social moment where solo guests can easily connect or simply enjoy a peaceful morning with good food and coffee. E-Fun Dive Resort is a wonderful choice for solo travelers seeking comfort, kindness, and a genuine sense of belonging. It feels less like staying at a hotel and more like being a welcome guest in a small seaside home. Highly recommended — and absolutely a place I’d return to.

    The staff are pleasant and the food is decent. Modern rooms and easy access for snorkeling make it worth considering. They have problems with access as the road to the place is very small. The owners are very petty in charging you for things like milk in your coffee.

    Efun Dive Resort was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — warm, helpful, and genuinely lovely people who go out of their way to make your stay great. The food was absolutely delicious. While a few menu items weren't available during our visit, everything we did try was freshly made — definitely worth it! The rooms and facilities were clean and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Don’t be put off by the simple track leading down to the resort — all the top dive sites in Dauin are located along this same beachfront, and once you're there, the setting is absolutely gorgeous. Do recommend hiring a bike to explore Valencia and surrounding areas. This place is perfect for both divers and snorkellers. My partner had fantastic diving experiences with Daryl, who was a great guide and especially recommended Apo Island — and it did not disappoint. They can also arrange other trips for you (snorkellers & divers). And of course, we can’t forget Sausage — the resort’s adorable new dog and the sweetest little companion. He quickly became our best friend. Highly recommend Efun Dive Resort.

    This hotel is situated a little further up the beach in Dauin, it’s more quiet here compared to other areas, which can be quite noisy from karaoke and music. The hotel is quite new and interior decoration is very well thought through, rooms are comfortable and spacious. However, their operations need improvement. Service is very slow and inefficient. They can’t offer most things on their menu cause they don’t have ingredients, not even for a simple mango shake or black tea. The resort next door, La Tortue, had a really nice restaurant and great service though. At one point we arranged a trip to Dumaguete with the front desk - to go there and then a pick up to go back. Going back was a hassle. Though they had verified the pick up and we were in contact with them over WhatsApp we had to sit and wait for over 2 hours (believing the driver was on his way) until they finally said their driver was busy, at which point they managed to arrange a tricycle ride instead. If they had only said that pick up wasn’t available until xx o’clock we could have spent our time in Dumaguete doing things instead of just sitting and waiting - or we could have arranged another ride ourselves. One staff member was super service minded (Juvy), the rest of the staff seemed to avoid talking to guests, I think there was a language barrier. If you’re planning on diving - go next door to La Tortue. The dive center on E-fun have really bad diving equipment (leaky hoses, regulators taking in water, BCDs filling up with air mid dive) and they don’t seem to have any own dive staff, but rather contractor DMs who don’t take any responsibility for equipment and who’s not really service minded - they’re just there to get their pay check. They don’t accept card payment so bring cash to settle the bill. The resorts own little dog, Sausage, was very playful and brightened our days there!
