    Nice old Asian style wooden bungalows set in sandy ground. Everything works, the rooms are comfortable. We had a free upgrade ... meaning we had the inconvenience of climbing steep stairs which we would rather not do with heavy suitcases, and a useless kitchen down below which we did not use, and never would use. Don't call these upgrades please, cos they aren't, they are an inconvenience so you can get rid of a room that isn't booked, and if we had wanted this inconvenience, we would have booked it in the first place - for this you lose a point! That said, we arrived early and were taken straight to the room - thankyou - I give that point back. The restaurant is great ... good coffee and local food. The location is quite a walk from the beach, down back alleys and across a car park, but that's fine, because the hotel is on a nice clean sandy patch with trees, away from the very ugly main Langkawi drag which, tbh, is a total dump. If you must visit Langkawi (I lived and travelled SE Asia for 40+ years and we normally would avoid Langkawi like the plague, but we had 1 night transit), then this is by far one of the best places I have stayed. Oh. Kiki the cat (also my wife's name) is very genit and ngakal sekali!

    Very convenient location, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. A little bit loud given location next to main road but earplugs are provided and I had no issues with sleeping.

    My stay at Golden Chenang Village was truly special. The exceptional cleanliness throughout the property was immediately noticeable, everything from the comfortable bed to the bathroom was spotless. Nestled in beautiful natural surroundings with lots of greenery, it felt like escaping into a peaceful tropical oasis. The traditional hut-style accommodation blended perfectly with the environment, creating such a calm and rejuvenating atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely kind, always ready to assist with a smile. Honestly, there was nothing to fault here. A big bonus was having the Bamboo Cafe right at the doorstep, so convenient for delicious meals and drinks without even leaving the property. This place will stay in my memory for a long time and I will definitely book again whenever I’m back in Langkawi. Highly recommended!
