About this house rental
Northlake is one of Wanaka`s most desirable modern neighbourhoods — a peaceful, family-friendly community framed by the Southern Alps and the shores of Lake Wanaka. You`ll wake to mountain views and step out to landscaped reserves, walking and biking trails, and easy lakeside access just minutes from your door.
Stroll or cycle the scenic lake track into Wanaka township in around 20–25 minutes, or it`s a quick 5-minute drive to the town centre with its waterfront restaurants, boutique shops, and cafés. Right on your doorstep, the Monkey Farm has become a Northlake favourite — a relaxed bar, café and restaurant where locals gather over woodfired pizza, great coffee, or a cold drink. The bottle store is also just a short walk away, perfect for picking up something to enjoy around the outdoor fire.
For winter visitors, you couldn`t ask for a better base — Cardrona and Treble Cone ski fields are both within an easy 30-minute drive. In the warmer months, you`re moments from world-class hiking, biking, swimming, and watersports on the lake.
Quiet, modern, and beautifully connected to everything that makes Wanaka special — Northlake is a perfect place to call home during your stay.
A car is the easiest way to explore Wanaka and the wider region, and we`ve got you covered with 2 off-street parking spots right at the property, plus 2 additional spaces available on the street out front — ideal for families or groups travelling in more than one vehicle.
Wanaka township is just a 5-minute drive away, or a scenic 20–25 minute walk or cycle along the lakeside trail. Within the Northlake neighbourhood itself, most things are within easy walking distance — including the Monkey Farm bar, café and restaurant, and the local bottle store.
For day trips further afield, Cardrona Alpine Resort is around a 30-minute drive, Treble Cone roughly 25 minutes, and Queenstown about an hour over the Crown Range. Wanaka Airport is a 10-minute drive, and Queenstown Airport approximately 1 hour.
Wanaka has limited public transport, so we`d recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis, Uber-style rideshares, and shuttle services are also available for trips into town or to the ski fields during winter.
Quiet drinks fine, however no parties.
