Beautiful Home Close Galleria and Medical Center

Very comfortable and well-equipped home. Great location and very clean. I was happy to have my in-laws stay at this home for a few days while they were in town.

It was a great place, nice neighborhood, good location. We enjoyed it very much.

We were unable to use the master suite as we arrived to find multiple giant cockroaches (one was the size of a small squirrel) crawling around that bedroom and bathroom and nobody was willing to sleep there. Every morning we found additional dead/dying roaches in various places around the kitchen and dining area (which we kept totally clean). We also arrived to find an overwhelming Glade plug-in smell, which my sister is very sensitive to. She ended up getting a hotel room because even after we took out the air “fresheners” and tried to air out the house (made difficult by the lack of screens on most windows) she was getting headaches from the terrible cheap perfume smell the moment we’d walk in the door. It wasn’t clear whether the owners just LIKE that terrible smell or whether they were trying to cover up something else (fumigation maybe, judging by the daily dying roach collection). Furnishings are the bare minimum. There is no internet (which we knew ahead of time but should be emphasized) so the advertised smart TV is useless. They only provided one towel per bedroom despite knowing that we’d have 7 people. The filters in the fridge need replacing. The air conditioner is extremely loud. Many windows don’t have curtains or have see-through curtains. None do the rooms has blackout curtains if you’re a late sleeper. The freeway is also one house away so you hear traffic all night if you’re a light sleeper. All of that said, the location was excellent for us and we had plenty of space to spread out and eat breakfast and get out of the house before we thought too much about the bugs. Aside from the bugs (and the Glade smell which never went away) it was very clean. We chose not to move because these factors made it slightly more acceptable than any available alternative and as New Yorkers we have a pretty high tolerance for noise and bugs. But we definitely won’t be back.
