About this apartment rental
The flat Westmünsterland region is ideal for cycling on a well-developed network of paved country roads. Bicycles for rent are available within walking distance of the Marbeck train station. The area is famous for its picturesque, historic moated castles: in Raesfeld, Lembeck, and Borken-Gemen. On beautiful summer days, a visit to the water park in the neighboring town of Heiden (4 km) is highly recommended.
Despite its rural location, transportation connections are excellent. The Marbeck-Heiden train station, with a train connection to Essen, is within walking distance, and the on-ramp to the A31 (toward the Ruhr region/Emden) is only a few kilometers away.
Within walking distance of the Marbeck train station, you’ll find “Hellas,” a Greek restaurant, as well as a bakery with an attached café that’s perfect for breakfast. Within walking distance, there is a small self-service village grocery store where you can buy daily groceries from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (An der Ölmühle; payment accepted via EC or credit card).
The towns of Heiden, Borken, and Raesfeld, just a few kilometers away, offer a wide variety of dining options.
Your hosts, Barbara and Reiner, live on the first floor of the same building and are available to assist with any concerns.
The cozy attic apartment is modern and fully equipped. The new kitchenette features an electric stove, microwave, range hood, and dishwasher. Linens and all utilities are included in the price. A separate washing machine is available in the basement for free use. An air conditioner, powered by the solar panel system, keeps you cool on hot days. From the balcony, you can enjoy the view of the greenery; a patio umbrella is provided.
