About this house rental

Summary:

Sunlight pours through floor-to-ceiling windows as hillside oaks frame your view of the Sonoma Valley. This contemporary retreat sleeps 8 across four king bedrooms, pairing designer interiors — navy accents, gold fixtures, a linear fireplace — with a private hot tub set among lavender and native grasses. Glen Ellen Star is 0.4 miles away and Jack London State Historic Park just one mile from your door. Soak under the stars, wake to mountain views, and let the valley do the rest.

The Space:

Chardonnay Getaway is a 2,240-square-foot contemporary home spread across two Glen Ellen hillside levels, with mountain and valley views from nearly every room. Navy, white, and gold accents run throughout.

Mornings start with espresso on the Ipe deck above the Sonoma Valley, the hillside oaks just catching light. Afternoons fan out to Glen Ellen tasting rooms and the Jack London trails, then back to the kitchen island to uncork a bottle and sear something on the gas grill. Evenings collapse into the hot tub among the lavender, hills fading gold to indigo, the wine fridge a few steps away.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The private hot tub sits among lavender and ornamental grasses with hillside views. A raised deck with lounge chairs provides a second retreat, the gas grill handles alfresco cooking, and the Ipe deck offers valley-view dining.

THE VALLEY OF THE MOON

Glen Ellen Star's Bib Gourmand wood-fired cooking is 0.4 miles from the driveway, The Mill at Glen Ellen serves American classics in an 1839 building a mile out, and Songbird Parlour sets a modern six-course tasting menu the same distance. Benziger pours biodynamic wines 0.8 miles away, the Village Market covers provisions at 0.5, and Jack London's ranch trails start one mile up the hill. A Tesla solar roof with Powerwall backup and electronic shades keep the home running efficiently, and central AC handles valley summers that regularly top 90°F.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Four bedrooms — all king beds — sleep up to eight. Finishes range from a geometric pendant and gray headboard to navy accents with a gold mirror, and a wood-frame bed with hillside views.

The house was very roomy for my whole family to relax, play, games and enjoy our time together. The kitchen was fully equipped and the location was close to Glenn Ellen where there were wonderful restaurants. The hot tub was relaxing to soak and sip coffee. We will definitely return again.

This property is beautiful. We rented this house for a girls weekend and it was perfect. The rooms are spacious and the king beds are very comfortable. The open concept living space is ideal for groups. We will be back!

The house was nice enough and clean. Kitchen well supplied and hot tub was a nice touch. For the price point, however it wasn’t a 5 star experience. The third party property management company, Vacasa was difficult to deal with, random texts from them at 3am, the code to the door was 10 digits, no iron was available, late check in and super early checkouts, no instructions for use of the Sonos equipment, no instructions for use of the fireplace etc…..it’s a nice home in a great places but for the listed price, it should be managed better.
