About this house rental
Vacation in style and make the most of your trip to Maine at this convenient suite on Mt. Desert Island! This family-friendly retreat provides affordable comfort in the heart of historic Northeast Harbor. You'll be located right above the Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Acadia National Park is nearby, as are charming shops and restaurants in the surrounding blocks. If you make the right call and visit the Sea Princess Cruises for a scenic boat ride through nature (half a mile east), you'll get to discover the many treasures of Mt. Desert Island's southern shores.
Inside your holiday home, you'll find a sofabed in front of a cable TV, radiant heating throughout, room darkening shades for nap and sleep times, two ceiling fans to circulate the AC (in the bedroom and living areas), and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
This suite can also be rented together with a neighboring suite, The Colonel's Suites #5, as The Colonel's Suites #4 and #5.

Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

House was ready early and we received a text message telling us we could check in early. That was a nice feature. The house was in a nice quiet neighborhood. Good neighborhood to do laps and get in a nice walk. Location was central for what we were there for. House itself was fine but a little “tired” inside. One of the bathrooms was small with a small shower stall. Not ideal for a larger person. Kitchen seemed to be stocked with enough supplies to make the meals we needed to. Overall fine stay.

Tucked away in the charming village of Damariscotta, Maine, "Nature's Nook" was the perfect home base for our adventure. Nestled in a quiet, wooded neighborhood on the north side of town near Highway 1, this lovely home put us in the heart of everything we love about Maine. Our family of six were comfortable all week. The kids enjoyed the paved drive and played pickleball and wiffleball in the yard. From here, we explored Acadia, Bar Harbor, Camden, Maiden’s Cliff, Freedom (and the unforgettable Lost Kitchen), Augusta, Pemaquid Point, Popham Beach, Freeport Outlets, Harpswell, and Boothbay Harbor. In just ten days, we packed in so many incredible experiences.A huge thanks to Vrbo and the homeowners for sharing their space—it truly felt like home. The walkway was a bit icy but there was icemelt available. It could have been more kid-friendly with some safety plugs and decor out of reach of little hands, but overall it was great.
