About this apartment rental

Surrounded by mature gardens and countryside just four miles from the seaside town of Aldeburgh, this exceptional house is perfect for memorable holidays with families and friends. Interiors are beautifully furnished and equipped with sociable living spaces where doors open to the garden, a dining room and fantastic kitchen. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests with five bathrooms - two luxurious bedrooms with en-suites in the house, plus a ground floor bedroom, wet room, and two equally stylish bedrooms with en-suites in the annexe.

HALL/DINING ROOM
Stairs sweep up to the first-floor landing from this graceful space at the heart of the house where an extending table waits for guest to enjoy long lazy lunches.

LIVING ROOM
Double doors give a grand feeling to this beautiful room with French doors opening to the patio and garden beyond. There’s a TV in the corner with Sky channels, and a little fabric playhouse and toy kitchen for little guests to have some fun.

KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM
Enjoy catering for the family in this beautiful big kitchen with its central island and a table under the window. Appliances include a two electric ovens and a separate grill, a five ring gas hob, an American style fridge/freezer ((both upright, please see photos re space), a dishwasher, and the essential toaster and kettle.

UTILITY ROOM
Conveniently housing a 2nd dishwasher, a washing machine, and dryer.

DOUBLE BEDROOM
The king size bed sits between bedside stools and there’s a an attractive shelf unit for your clothes, plus some shelves.
WET ROOM
Fitted with a hand-held shower attachment, wash basin, WC and natural light.

FIRST FLOOR
The incredibly spacious landing gives access to the two boutique hotel style suites and has a gorgeous antique sofa under the window – a wonderful spot for an afternoon nap or moment with a good book!

GARDEN BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE BATHROOM
Wake to the birdsong from the king size bed in this grand room and enjoy your morning coffee with the sofa, chair and table ;positiioned so you can make the most of the garden view. There’s a large hanging rail and bedside drawers to you can unpack and settle in with open wardrobe..

The bath has a hand-held shower and there’s a WC, wash basin, and natural light from the sky-light.

FRONT BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
Another big bedroom where the upholstered king sized bed sits between bedside drawers with additional storage in a chest of drawers and a chair sits by the window.
EN-SUITE
Light floods this room through the sky light and there’s a double shower cubicle with a hand-held shower head on a riser, a wash basin, WC, and towel rail (towels will be supplied for all guests).

OUTSIDE
The Old School is set back from the road with a gravel driving giving ample place for up to five cars (in case of five couples coming for a celebration weekend) and is surrounded by private gardens with a patio, lawns, well-established flower beds, bushes and trees. There’s a large pond surrounded by a fence but guests with children must be aware of this.

ANNEXE
The annexe is attached to the house and can be sdeen on the main photo from the drive with the annexe to the left through the blue door, the house on the right with the two gables on the side. From the garden view, the annexe the section painted white. There's no access internally, however the door to the annexe is conveniently next to a door in the dining room of the house; literally a couple of steps outside from the house but unsuitable for younger unaccompanied children.

GROUND FLOOR SUITE
A super king zip and link bed takes pride of place in this sunny bedroom where deep windows overlook the garden. The beds will be made into twin unless requested as double in advance.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
This smart room with its checkered floor has a step up to the corner shower cubicle with an electric shower, a wash basin, WC, and natural light.

GALLERIED FIRST FLOOR SUITE
Also overlooking the garden, this big bedroom is accessed directly via stairs from the entrance way with a door at the bottom. The bed is a double and there’s storage in a chest of drawers, plus a desk under the window which can double up as a dressing table.
EN-SUITE BATHROOM
Stretching the width of the house, this lovely big room has a bath under the eaves, a wash basin, WC and bags of natural light.

Whilst there's a ground floor bedroom and a wet room in the house, and a ground floor bedroom with en-suite in the annexe which could be helpful for guests with a mobility issue, please be aware that the drive is gravel so might be difficult to navigate.
