About this house rental
The property features great views of the ocean and nearby islands. There is a mature garden on site for exploring, flower picking and blueberry sampling. The walk on the road around the island is just over two miles long and makes for great strolling. From the back end of the garden there is a path that travels through the mossy forest offering a quiet and contemplative hike. There is a small beach on the island that is shared amongst the homeowners and available to renters.
The house itself, built in 2006, is centered around a huge open living area, with couches and comfortable chairs bathed in sunlight. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the home. The kitchen is big and well-equipped. There are luxurious touches all around, including stone floors over radiant heating throughout, floor-to-ceiling windows in most rooms, a generous master bath with a jetted tub, and refined material finishes everywhere.
The location is convenient to several great area attractions, including the Monhegan Ferry. It is halfway between Rockland and Port Clyde, about a 20-25 minute drive to either. It's 10 minutes to McLoons Lobster Shack!
This is a great spot for exploring all that the area has to offer, and also a perfect, luxurious retreat for staying put and unwinding.
