This was easily one of the most special places we have ever stayed in. The house is a beautifully renovated medieval building in the heart of Kalamoti, and staying there genuinely feels like an experience in itself. From the moment you walk inside, it feels almost like entering a small castle: stone walls, arches, different levels and little spaces within spaces, all restored beautifully while still preserving the character and atmosphere of the original building. At the same time, absolutely nothing feels old when it comes to comfort. Everything is brand new and of exceptionally high quality — the furniture, bathrooms, kitchen, appliances, washing machine and dryer, everything. A lot of thought and care has clearly gone into the renovation, and it shows everywhere. One of our favourite parts was the terrace overlooking the rooftops of the medieval village. Kalamoti itself is wonderfully quiet and picturesque, and sitting up there, surrounded by the old village, was something very special. And then there is the host. He was simply fantastic — incredibly friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Every time the house was visited for cleaning, we would come back to find some little treat waiting for us. These small gestures made us feel exceptionally well looked after throughout our stay. If you are visiting Chios, I would absolutely recommend staying here. You are not simply booking somewhere beautiful to sleep — you are actually staying inside a piece of the island's history, but with all the comfort and quality of a completely modern home. We would return without hesitation.

Beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The location is great for exploring Chios, with easy access to many beaches and the island’s most iconic villages.
