Villa Zagara

We spent 11 wonderful days in this villa and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and felt like home from the first day. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need: two refrigerators, dishwasher, plenty of cookware, dishes, glasses, bowls, spices, vinegar and even delicious homemade olive oil. The welcome package was amazing – local wine, Sicilian biscuits, pasta, pesto, crackers and more. We also requested a moka pot, and the owners kindly provided one together with coffee. The villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washing machine, beach towels, outdoor shower, BBQ, beach equipment, and a fantastic jacuzzi where we relaxed every evening. The location is excellent – only a 5-minute walk from a beautiful rocky beach with crystal-clear water, yet in a peaceful residential area away from tourist crowds. It is also the perfect base for exploring southeastern Sicily. During our stay we visited Ortigia, Siracusa, Noto, Marzamemi, Mount Etna, Taormina and Messina. This villa is perfect whether you want to relax by the sea, cook with fresh local ingredients, enjoy the jacuzzi after a day of sightseeing, or simply experience the true Sicilian lifestyle.
