The house is located up in the hills of Kokkino Chorio with a spectacular view over the sea. The house is fully equipped, beds are good and the airconditioning in every room is a big plus. The kitchen and bbq made us decide to cook dinner several evenings and just enjoy the quietness of the house instead of going out. We liked the fact that there are 3 outside sitting areas so always an option to sit in/out of the sun or wind.
There is a small supermarket in the village with basic supplies and the local tavern is great. It is no longer than a 10 minute drive to nearby Almyrida with its lovely beaches and more restaurants (and 15 minutes to Kalyves). For us the house was a great base to explore the western part of Crete.
The host is super responsive in case of questions and she truly gave us a very welcoming feeling.
