Eden on Beach

Not too far from town centre and within walking distance to the beach. Beautiful clean room.

A TV would have been nice as I was there alone, however not having that distraction it was a good opportunity to just sit out and enjoy the evening sky and just ponder.

For my purposes the location was ideal. It is a smallish room with a queen bed and very comfortable mattress, en-suite and a kitchenette. There is no TV but I never use them anyway. The suite is very modern, clean and stylish. The hosts obviously take pride in their space. The location is in a residential area at the end of a cul-de-sac but it was quiet enough and I was not disturbed by noise. I did not need to, but the hosts are right next door and easily contactable. Their numbers are listed in a comprehensive information folder in the room. It also details local attractions including directions to pathways for beach access and bush walks as well as information on the suite itself. I felt safe and secure with a security screen door and inner sliding door. The host, Geraldine, was quick to communicate and prior to arrival and enabled me to arrive without fuss with regards to key access. They provided me with a password for the WiFi but I had my own connection and did not require this. I only needed the night, but I would not hesitate in staying again when the occasion arises.

The only thing that I could mention is that the air-con is linked to the main house ducted system. It was a cool enough night with just the ceiling fan at this time of the year (June). The information guide does read that if you want the air-con on, the hosts are easily contactable and can activate the main unit to give the room independent control. I understand the cost-effectiveness of having it set up this way. I was a little concerned that I might find it hot during the night and felt anxious of the possibility of disturbing the hosts to activate it later in the evening, but this was not necessary as it was a comfortable ambient temperature throughout the night. I would be sure this would not be a concern in the hotter months when the system as a whole would naturally be operating. It turned out to be a non-issue for me on this occasion and I needn't have been anxious but everybody is different and might be affected depending on the climate they are used to.
