It was a beautiful apartment, and the woman who rents it is very nice,
The apartment is located in Furi, one stop up a cable car ride from Zermatt. If that was mentioned in the listing, I missed it. The cable car is 10.50 CHF each way, so add 21 CHF per person (unless you get a 1/2 price railway fare card). The cable car's last run up the mountain -- at least when we were there in mid-September (it may vary during season) -- was at 5:20, and if you miss that cable car, it is a mile or so hike up the mountain. The first trip DOWN the mountain leaves Furi at about 8:30. So if you go there thinking that you will be enjoying dinner at a Zermatt restaurant, or thinking that you're going to take an early train to Geneva, think again. We were able to make everything work out because some very nice people adjusted for us, but I would rather not have to make all of those arrangements. The listing may have mentioned some of this, but if it did, I missed it. We wound up buying food at the Coop in town to have a simple dinner and a simple breakfast.
