Maré Guesthouse - Garden, Yoga & Surf

Perfect location. Close to the beach and close to the city center.

The breakfast was a bit late some mornings, and would have loved if there was a small shared kitchen to cook in.

Super friendly personnel, authentic, comfortable room, central location - beach, city center, market - all are easy walkable distance. Plus, weather at this resort were around 23C, while same time 36C in Lisbon and 44C in Paris.

Trip was started with terrible airport transfer experience, in contrast, stay at Mare Guesthouse was really perfect.

Locatie

Zeer gehorig, met een hotelkamer zit je wat ‘opgesloten’ en geen directe toegang tot de tuin. Ontbijt beperkt, tweede ochtend wel wat aangepast op aanvraag (bv wat beleg/ yoghurt). Geen gebruik van o.a. een gezamenlijke keuken/ koelkast. Lastig spullen te drogen (lijn vanuit de gezamenlijke badkamer) etc. Door de prijs waren we toch wel wat teleurgesteld. Misschien waren onze verwachtingen gewoon niet goed n.a.v. de eerdere geweldige reviews.

The location of the property was lovely, especially the original fountain at the front which belief has been there for over 400 years Also, the property itself was really pretty and quite nicely decorated

I do think the shared bathrooms should've been cleaned every night especially with most people using the beach very often the bathrooms were not particularly clean for morning use because they haven't been cleaned from the night before and heavily use Also there our room is sweet. It was very small and not much space. Although breakfast was lovely, it did consist of any cereals bread, basic fruit, tea, and coffee. Especially with it being such an active holiday, we really could've done with some protein and more alternative, especially when you're staying for more than two nights
