Hellbender Bed & Beverage

Lovely stay at the bed and breakfast. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Food was amazing. We were impressed that we didn’t hear any noises from restaurant despite being right above everything! Great experience!

We loved everything but one suggestion could be to put a tray in the room for the pour over coffee as that was a bit messy. Love the concept but we needed a towel or tray.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was updated, clean, and very spacious. Having two televisions was a nice bonus, and I especially loved the balcony in the back. The bathtub was wonderful, the king-size bed was large and comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. The location was probably the best part—it was extremely convenient. The lady who took care of the rooms was also super sweet, helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

There are a few things that could have made the experience even better. When we arrived, we were given our key and told our room was upstairs, but there wasn’t much explanation about the property or the amenities available to guests. A little more information at check-in would have been helpful and welcoming. Bringing our luggage to the room was also somewhat awkward, as we had to carry it up two flights of stairs and through a busy restaurant. No assistance was offered, so having a separate or back entrance for guests with luggage—or offering assistance—would make arrival much easier. The upholstered headboard in our room appeared to need some cleaning, which was a little disappointing. It would also be helpful to have luggage stands in the rooms, as we really didn’t have a convenient place to put our suitcases. These are fairly minor improvements, but I think they would make the overall guest experience much more comfortable.
