This rustic Norwegian-style log cabin rental is hidden in the hills near the Upper Iowa River in Decorah, Iowa. There is one double bed, one pull-out futon couch, and a foam mat for the floor that sleeps two. The bathroom is eco-friendly, featuring a composting toilet and a shower. Linens and towels are provided, the running water is cold but easily heated on the gas range or, in winter, on the woodstove.
On the Decorah cabins' interior, you will find three floors, with the bedroom at the top, where guests will find the bed, a desk, some drawers, and a lovely little window to let the light in, providing magnificent views of the woodland around. Downstairs, guests will find the living area, with a shelf full of books and beautiful chairs to read in. On the ground floor is the the fully-equipped kitchen, where guests have everything they need to prepare themselves delicious home-cooked food. There is also a wood-burning fireplace, keeping the cabin toasty during the cold winter months.
