About this cabin rental

Escape to the peaceful retreat of Airigh nam Fiadh, a charming cabin nestled at the end of the village of Newvalley, just outside Stornoway. Tucked away privacy and seclusion, you'll find yourself surrounded by nature, with a track leading out through the moors to a river. Airigh nam Fiadh means the deer's shieling and this serene location invites visits from red deer and other wildlife, especially at certain times of the year.

Sleep Under the Stars
The cabin’s bedroom features Velux windows, offering a stunning view of the night sky, perfect for stargazing. Blackout Velux blinds are provided to ensure complete darkness during the long summer nights when the daylight lingers well into the evening.

Outdoor Relaxation
Enjoy a large decked area where you can sit back and take in the views during the day. In the winter months, it’s also an ideal spot to catch the mesmerizing Northern Lights.

Comfort for Families
Airigh nam Fiadh comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, with a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. The cabin is well-equipped for a cozy stay, including a kitchenette with a microwave, Ninja air fryer, induction hob, kettle, and toaster.

A Bright and Airy Bathroom
The bathroom features a large window that fills the space with natural light, an electric shower, and a heated towel rail, providing the perfect setting to freshen up after a day of exploring.

Living Area
The living area is designed for relaxation with a comfortable sofa bed and a breakfast bar with four bar stools. There’s a smart TV for entertainment, and internet access is provided via a wifi router due to location.

Outdoors and Surroundings
The cabin has a spacious deck with comfortable deck chairs for enjoying the outdoors. Ample parking space is available on-site. As Airigh nam Fiadh is located on a working croft, you may encounter sheep, lambs, ponies, and other wildlife during your stay. We do allow dogs (£30 surcharge applicable), but as we are a working croft, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Perfect Location
While Airigh nam Fiadh is just outside Stornoway, its secluded setting makes it feel like you're miles away from the town. It’s an ideal base for exploring the beauty of Lewis and Harris, whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or quiet relaxation.
