The Space:
Wonderfully bright, modern, and situated within sight of the wild Pacific Ocean, this home sits close to the bluffs just north of downtown Gualala. You'll be able to walk less than a quarter-mile to Cooks Beach by day, and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean while soaking in the private hot tub at night. This single-level home is a delight for beachcombers, hikers, and those looking to explore the Northern California Coast. The main living area is one open, light-filled space with two distinct sitting areas - one with a sectional sofa positioned by the gas fireplace, and another with a sofa and armchairs facing the flatscreen TV. Three sets of glass doors open onto the wrap-around deck - a spot to bring your morning coffee, your binoculars, or your evening glass of wine. The kitchen is airy and roomy, well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island with a breakfast bar for six. But then again, you'll never fail to find a comfortable place to sit, whether you're gathering around the formal dining room table for 10 or sharing a casual lunch at the kitchen table overlooking the ocean. After an evening soak in the hot tub outside on the deck, you can retire to one of three bedrooms, including a main suite with a private bathroom and direct access to the deck and hot tub. Additional amenities include a private washer/dryer.

Getting Around:
From San Francisco, the drive is about 2.5 hours via Highway 101 to Highway 1. Fly into Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), about 90 minutes east, and drive the coast from there. Having a car opens up the entire Mendonoma Coast.
Other Things to Note:
April through June brings stunning wildflower displays along the bluffs and throughout Gualala Point Regional Park. The warmest months run June to September. Coastal fog is common early in the day but gives way to sunshine by afternoon.
Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.

Three sisters and spouses visited the magic place of our childhood cabin. This location was perfectly placed for our journey. We very much appreciated the fully stocked kitchen supplies and the ease of the walk to the beach. Thank you for a memorable stay!

This house is well maintained! It is very spacious allowing everyone to have their own place to do things. The hot tub was enjoyable on the cool evenings! It is perfect for families and the view of the cove is beautiful!!!

This house is well maintained! It is very spacious allowing everyone to have their own spot to relax and not be on top of each other. The hot tub was also enjoyable after hiking & exploring during the day. We enjoyed the view of the cove watching the tide come in & out through the day!
