Set along a peaceful country lane in the village of Tattingstone, The Coach House is a charming one-bedroom cottage designed for relaxed countryside escapes for two. Once part of the nearby rectory, this thoughtfully converted cottage proves that good things often come in smaller packages.
Location-wise, it's hard to beat. Within moments of stepping out of the front door, you can be taking in the views at Alton Water. A dog walkers paradise, with eight miles of walking and cycling trails circling the reservoir, while the surrounding countryside is dotted with classic Suffolk villages, country pubs and scenic lanes. If you fancy venturing a little further, the Suffolk coast, with its beaches, seafood and salty air, is within easy reach.
The Coach House is a detached cottage arranged over one level, offering a beautifully comfortable and thoughtfully laid-out retreat for couples.
At the heart of the property is the open-plan living space, where the kitchen, dining and sitting areas flow effortlessly together. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for every kind of cook, whether that means preparing a leisurely breakfast before heading out for the day or a relaxed supper in the evening. The adjoining dining area is ideal for lingering over long meals, while the sitting area provides a cosy spot to unwind with a book or plan the next day’s adventures. On warmer days, open the side door from the kitchen and let the sunlight spill in from the courtyard garden, filling the space with warmth and creating a seamless connection between indoors and out.
