Casa Anastasio is located in Mazo on the lush eastern side of the island. The house has a long history and has been in the family for many years. It is situated in a secluded location, shielded from view. It offers guests a private pool, a 1,000-square-meter garden lush with plants, and a barbecue area.
The house is a great starting point for many activities. The airport and the capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, are just a 15-minute drive away. Santa Cruz has a beautiful historic old town with a pedestrian zone. The nearest sandy beach—which is also recommended for families with children—is located in Los Cancajos, only about a 10-minute drive away.
Casa Anastasio:
Casa Anastasio is a Canarian house with a long history. The part of the house containing the living room and kitchen is over 100 years old; about 8 years ago, the rear section of the house—featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms—was added as an extension.
In total, there is 70 square meters of living space available for 4 people and 1 baby. If needed, the sofa can be converted into a sleeper sofa. The 1,000-square-meter property is walled and therefore offers complete privacy.
The house’s garden has been lovingly landscaped with palm trees and other subtropical plants. The lagoon-shaped pool invites you to take a refreshing dip. Four lounge chairs are arranged around the pool. A large umbrella tree in front of the bedroom provides a shady spot for outdoor seating, complete with an attached grill area.
From one corner of the property, you have a beautiful view of the sea and can watch the daily ferry traffic between La Palma and Tenerife. Due to its location above the airport, you may occasionally hear some noise, but air traffic is very light.
The dark wooden ceiling and the dark hardwood floors in the living/dining area have been preserved in their original state and create a cozy atmosphere. The living area features a couch, a rocking chair, and two comfortable hanging chairs to the left and right of the fireplace. On the wall hangs a picture of Anastasio and his wife, who built the house over 100 years ago.
The large dining table with six chairs stands by the window overlooking the garden. The dining area is complemented by a well-equipped kitchen.
The rear part of the house is accessed via a single step. The two bedrooms are spacious and bright and face the garden. The bathrooms feature a shower stall/toilet and a shower/toilet.
