Peaceful 1-bedroom house with AC in charming Whittier

Janine was a phenomenal host and the house was perfect for a single traveler in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Had a great time staying here. Everything was very nice and clean. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Would love to stay again!

For what our stay was, we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. The property was in a fantastic location, we needed to be half way from LA and Anaheim. I really appreciate the host and all that they did for us. But I do feel like the property was not disclosed properly. This is not a whole house like described. You have basically 2 rooms and a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Meaning its almost duplex style. Had I known the host lived on property I would not have booked this location. Also the fridge was not very clean upon arrival and we didnt know we wouldnt have access to the thermostat for the house. We asked for 72 thinking it would be fine but the heater turned on so often during the day we had to open the windows. I hate having to ask a host for everything. I ended up buying a tall fan and leaving it at the property for future people staying. We also felt like we were hovering over the property owners the whole time. Such a weird experience. But they really were super nice people and i appreciate being able to stay. I also felt bad because check out instructions said to take out trash and recycling. But never got told where to put it. Did not feel comfortable going behind the gate to look for trash cans. The bed also is extremely uncomfortable and i was so mad at myself for not checking the bed size. Full size bed. NOT a queen.
