--- The Space ---
The Trumpet Vine has an open main level plan with natural oak floors extending from the fully equipped kitchen to the dining room and into the living room. The spacious living room is centered on a gas fireplace and mantel and is perfect for cozy relaxation after a long day of exploring the island’s many beaches and small towns.
The upper level has hardwood floors throughout and two ample cathedral ceiling bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Each bedroom has French doors that access private covered balconies. The bedrooms share a generous full bath with a soaking tub, separate shower, toilet and lavatory.
There is a half bath on the ground level as well as use of a washer and dryer in the adjacent shared garage. There is a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water off the brick terrace. There is space to park one car in front of the garage on Edgartown-West Tisbury Rd.
The Trumpet Vine is a short walk to all the wonderful things Edgartown has to offer—beaches, shops, markets, excellent restaurants, movie theaters, and harbor. There is also easy access to the bike path vineyard bus network if you visit without a car and would like to explore more of the island.
There is also an adjacent 3 bedroom house that sleeps up to 7 within the 3 house compound that can be rented as well. This can be an ideal combination for groups larger than four who desire proximity as well as independence.
--- Guest Access ---
The house, porches, terrace, and parking are for guests exclusive use.
The Trumpet Vine is part of a three-house compound surrounding a large lawn and extensive perennial gardens. The main house was built in 1870’s and the two smaller houses (The Hydrangea and The Trumpet Vine) were added in 2000. All houses are constructed in the charming local style with white clapboards and cedar shingles.
Together they shape a lovely outdoor room with a large expanse of green lawn and perennial gardens and borders. In addition to the private outdoor spaces, the shared common area is wonderful for various games and children's play.
--- Other things to note ---
