Base Seven Hostel

Absolute choice pick for hostels! This place is amazing. It’s new atm, only 4 months old so they were still getting some of the upstairs finished (there is NO noisy construction) but the boys have been running hostels for years and very clearly know what they are doing. The place is CLEAN, COMFY AND SO VERY WELCOMING. The owners and their friends/staff are the most friendly, helpful and kind people. We got there off the train from Jakarta at 4:30 in the afternoon and they were quick to welcome us, check us in and immediately told us about a night walking tour of the city and its main streets that they organise and execute themselves for the hostel guests; to try their local street food and learn about the history and culture of Bandung (Amazing place and definitely worth a stop when in Java, wish I had stayed longer). We were made to feel so included and welcome from the get go. They also have their own organised tours of the different areas of Bandung, including action-packed full day tours and more relaxed cultural, street food walking or self-guided tours. All were priced very nicely for what they included and were worth every penny. We were only in Bandung for 36hrs, so being able to rock up to our accom and pretty much immediately book multiple tours without even really having to think twice was amazing! So organised and ready to go! Though small at the moment due to being new, the hostel attracts like-minded travellers and is therefore quite a social place. They provide a nice little brekky in the mornings and have free tea, coffee and water at all times. The nest beds were roomy, super comfy and the bathrooms were more generous and clean than what you might usually get at a hostel. Bonus: they have the sweetest little hostel kitten Terima Kasih Banyak, Bundi and team….We will be back for longer next time!

Nothing, everything was great

Great hostel and friendly staff. They organise trips for you that are superb and such good fun, as well as excellent value for money.

It would help if there were additional washrooms and/or toilets

Het is centraal gelegen, schoon, goed ontbijt en ze hebben fijne bedden die niet kraken en waarbij je toch enigszins privacy hebt in de dorm.
