The Evalina Hotel

We really appreciated the excellent instructions re: check-in and check out. There was no interaction with staff at all. There were instructions as to how to access representatives if we had a need or concern. We like being independent and appreciated the cleanliness of the apartment and ease of access.

There could have been a stocked fridge like many hotels with a price list for purchase. That would have been more convenient then having to go out of the building to buy and stock up ourselves.

The Evalina Hotel is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. It is new, beautifully designed (transformed industrial space), spacious, and with attention paid to every detail. We loved our two-bedroom rental: water views, quality furniture, well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, exposed brick, quality coffee and tea, and especially the location in the heart of the Old Port. Photos do not do justice to the apartments—more impressive in person. Great experience!

minor detail: only 3 wine glasses. I'm presuming a previous renter brke one and they have yet to replace it.

Gorgeous and thoughtfully designed property! Couldn't ask for a better location in central Portland, parking was conveniently available across the street, and most of our food/drink/sailing/shopping destinations were walkable. Our 2BR unit was a super comfortable arrangement for two couples traveling together, balancing privacy and shared common spaces. Kitchen was highly-equipped for use. We feel lucky to have found it.

Nothing to say here! This is a self-managed stay (i.e. no reception desk or keys, access is granted via door codes), which may not work for all, but we received regular check-ins from staff on site and they were immediately responsive to some restock requests we had.
