Koun Pyramids Hotel

Staff was nice and accommodating for an early check-in and were happy to help. Breakfast on the rooftop was great and the ladies making the food were lovely. The location had a great view of the pyramids. The beds were comfortable and there was a fridge wish was very helpful

The bathtub we could only get hot water so couldn't really use. The shower head sprayed too much in multiple directions so I couldn't use it because I didn't have a shower cap, and on the last full day the Internet didn't work, which was hard for me as I needed to work.

Location to Giza Plateau was close - we could see them from our room. It was a 15min drive to the Pyramids & 20-30min drive to the GEM & clean.

Staff were helpful, but pushy with their agenda to get commissions based on their advice & the mode of transport you took. For example: The driver or guide ‘they’ arranged for you v’s you booking an Uber driver independently of them via the app. We were advise NOT visit Dahshur, as there was nothing there beside the two first & oldest pyramids in Egyptian history, but go to Mississippi, Saqqara & the Cittadel (Old Town) - totally opposite directions. We were given different advice from our driver & went to Dahshur, Mississippi & Saqqara. Dahshar was well worth it, no crowds, cheaper than the Giza Plateau Pyramids & we went inside both to experience the 1st & 2nd pyramid ever built, great photos - amazing! Breakfast was good, started at 8am, but took ~30-40min to come out. The last morning I asked 3 different staff for a Turkish coffee & it still hadn’t arrived after 50min waiting. Location is not great if you want to walk to get something to eat - location is really about the pyramids.

La ubicación es muy buena para el entorno de las pirámides y el gran museo (que era nuestra intención) LAS VISTAS A LAS PIRÁMIDES DESDE EL HOTEL SON UN LUJO (sobre todo desde la terraza) El hotel es relativamente nuevo por lo que a nivel de instalaciones está bastante bien. La habitación era amplia, las camas cómodas, estaba limpio y el baño resultaba cómodo, con buen caudal y temperatura del agua. Quiero destacar que el personal del hotel, tanto recepción, como cocina (para el desayuno), limpieza, era gente muy cercana y agradable, que se portaron de forma excepcional. Nos ayudaron con algun desplazamientos, se esforzaron por entendernos en el desayuno etc.. TODO UN PUNTO A SU FAVOR. El desayuno es completo, no es tipo buffet, sino que te lo preparan al subir a desayunar, e igual tardan un poco más en cocinarlo. Incluía una tortilla, unos falafel, quesos, patatas, cruasanes, pan, un embutido egipcio, zumo, café (tipo egipcio, fuerte y con mucho poso, no de maquina. Habrá gente así que le guste, y gente a la que no). Resultaba completo, incluso demasiada comida, pero a mí gusto bueno, aunque entiendo que habrá gente que prefiera un desayuno más "occidental".

No hay nada que no me gustara, me sentí a gusto y no vi nada negativo, pero para dejar constancia para otras personas, como decía al comienzo es un hotel nuevo que no tiene finalizadas todas las obras del edificio, por lo que hay zonas que no son "visualmente" atractivas (justamente porque están de obras), en algunos exteriores (parte trasera del hotel o en planta baja) El comedor parece algo "desanjelado", pero igualmente está en relación con un hotel que todavía no está a pleno rendimiento.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay as a family. The location was superb—only about 5 minutes from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and approximately 500 metres from the Giza Pyramids.

For me, the overall service and facilities were very good, and I didn’t have any negative experiences during my stay. The hotel has a lot of potential to attract even more guests in the future.
