We travelled over from the UK on Saturday 23rd May 2026 by car as part of a road trip stopover to Italy. When we arrived after being directed in by this lovely family we were met with the most beautiful and welcoming family that you could ever meet. They are 7th soon to be 8th generations of farmers who are the epitome of hard working decent people. We felt humbled by not only the accomodation but by how humble they were with very honest smiles that made us feel welcome staright away. To our regret and frustration, we do not speak French or German very well at all, but we had hosts that were patient with us which showed a wonderful humility that is priceless. The accomodation - After the very long car journey, we did not know what to expect but were soon to be over joyed at what we were given. The apartment was a duplex reached by a staircase to the first floor of a barn building with a top choice living area on the first floor comprising of large living room area with separate toilet, kitchen (well stocked and modern) and large fridge freezer and large shower room with washing machine. Up one flight of stairs there is a beautiful king size bed in a large bedroom that gave us one of the best sleeps for a long time. Outside the front door there is a really beautiful private outside space for a family to relax and take in the ambience. The villiage community all seem to be so content with how they live, and it shows with the cleanliness, the relaxed pace and the hard work put in to making such a successful neighbourly place to live. This is actually life at its very best from our point of view, the surrounding Alsace region is the most beautiful well kept place to live, the roads are pothole free and the people are honest and true to their word. I am sorry to say that this puts Britain to shame. I am very thankful to our hosts for making our short stay so welcome and comfortable, so much so that we intend to book again so that we can really explore the area. Thankyou.

The fact that this is how life should be, UKs politicians need to take a road trip to discover real life and how life could be without corruption and think of its people and not greed.

Everything was perfect! Large, modern apartment with all the facilities. Friendly and helpful host family. Loved the decor. Highly recommend!
