L’accueil de John, la terrasse avec vue

We had an amazing time there. The host - John - was very attentive and made a big effort to make our stay as nice as possible. While the property and John are new to booking, do not let that discourage you. Everything was exceptionally clean, loaded with snacks and everything you need for the kitchen. John even brought us some vegetables from the garden next to the property. The bed was comfy, it has a TV, AC, and you get plenty of space to sit at the table or on armchairs. The best part for us was the terrace, that has a view to the sea, part of the city and the nearby mountains/nature. This was an amazing place to have coffee in the morning or sit in the evening.

While there aren’t really things we did not like, I think one important mention is that since this property is a bit outside Rethymno (10 min by car) and there aren’t any neighbors next door, it can feel a bit isolated. However, for us this is what we were looking for, to have a quiet and nature first place, while staying accessible to the city. Otherwise, the location is well positioned for the entire island since its in the middle and a lot of other places remain accessible. There were also a few minor things to take into account: there is a small tax to be payed locally for a climate crisis resilience fund (about 6€ per day I believe) and that the property has a boiler that needs to be turned on and off in light of saving electricity. This was not a problem for us. Also, the bathroom was not the strong point of this property, but it was clean and we were able to use it for all needs.

Tout était parfait. Emplacement à 10 minutes de Rethymnon avec la terasse vue sur la mer. Acceuil incroyablement chaleureux. Appartement neuf et propre.
