The location of Lodge is perfect. It faces the fields so you have a beautiful view and you have privacy. There are shops and pubs in Kilkhampton that you can reach in a few minutes of walk. The lodge is clean, comfortable and very cosy. You have all you need for your stay. And if you like hiking it is a perfect place as there are many paths all around. We recommend :-)

A really cozy separate cottage, bigger than we had thought and decorated in a very stylish way. The beds were excellent! And the terrace is an asset! The centre of Kilkhampton with a supermarket is easily within walking distance.
Nothing.
On a side note (not related to the property itself), if you are planning to visit Bude and other nearby beaches, make sure to start early. We were there in the middle of August, and finding a parking place close to the sea was a real challenge!

It was easy reach to Bude, around 20 minutes. It was nice and quiet
Booking. Com didn’t mention on their site that we would have to pay extra for the electricity, which we have never in the past had to do and if we had known we would never had taken it we only knew once we had paid which we found an inconvenience.
Also the place hadn’t been properly cleaned, there was dead moths on the window sills, the windows were dirty and there was an old hanky just under the bed and old bits still on the carpet
We got there in the middle of a heat wave and fridge door was wide open with no electricity on , we had all our fridge shopping and couldn’t put it in until the fridge was cold
The TV didn’t work properly with a message constantly on screen which wouldn’t come off , l think the tv needs updating
We couldn’t find the WI-FI wasn’t on and found on the floor at back of tv which was full of spiders
There was a mustey smell in bedrooms where windows were not left open where they could
We couldn’t sit outside as all the furniture was dirty and full of grass and cobwebs which was the same with the porch covered with cobwebs and grass
