Theresa was very kind and responsive host. The photos genuinely reflect what you get: The house is pleasant and spacious, the kitchen has all the basic necessities, and the washing machine works well, as does the solar backup. We also appreciated having a gas heater for the living room as we were visiting in winter. One complimentary cleaning per week was great. (Also as an fyi since we were wondering about that before booking: You barely ever hear the Harare Drive traffic. Sometimes a bit of background humming, it never bothered us or woke us up.)

The payment modalities were unlcear at the time of our booking. After our arrival, it was suggested we should pay in cash USD, no card payments possible. We eventually had to set up an international wire transfer to a U.S. account. We only got one set of keys for the house, even though we asked for a second set. That made things a bit cumbersome at times. The gate toward Harare Drive was repeatedly malfunctioning at night and stayed open overnight. The geyser temperature was set so high that it was easy to get burned. The 2nd shower (there are three bathrooms!) only offered crazy hot water, no cold water or in between, so it was unusable. Upon our departure, we also flagged some smaller issues to Theresa - like the toaster and TV probably needing to be exchanged - which she promised to look into. Lastly, just as an fyi to future guests, Theresa advised us not to drink the tab water (it's from a borehole). We stuck to that and got mineral water.
