The Little Hanoi - Refreshing home - Big balcony

My stay at the Little Hanoi was fabulous! I felt safe and at home. The check-in process was smooth and the hostess was incredibly kind and helpful. The aircon, fan and the washing machine were an absloute life saver! The location is good and I was able to move around Hanoi easily. Around the accomodation there are convenience shops, coffee shops (especially the Lakeview Coffee is a MUST visit) and the lake which was lovely to walk around or sit at a coffee shop and look at it. I highly recommend the Little Hanoi :)

This is not because of the accomodation or the hosts, but there were works in the alley for two nights straight which kept me awake (they kept drilling in front of the building). The fridge could use a little bit of cleaning but this didn't ruin my stay :)

Apartment as in the photos, clean and very cozy! Staff attentive and present even by phone. Very affordable price for the accommodation given.

Average location compared to some neighborhoods of Hanoi, work that prevented us from sleeping at night...

This was a cute little apartment that made my stay in Hanoi feel cozy and comfortable. The AC is strong, they provide a fan, it’s spotless, and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. There’s also laundry (washer and dryer) which was so nice. The apartment is right by this cute little lake lined with coffee shops which was an amazing place to get a break from the hubbub of the city.

The first room I was in flooded during my first day there. However, the building manager was super apologetic and kind. They didn’t have another room available for me until the next day so she gave me that night for free and then moved me to a bigger apartment on the other side and a different floor. The apartments with the “courtyard view” are slightly smaller and darker which I actually preferred because I slept better. The apartments with the “city view” are larger and have more light but this meant it got pretty bright in the room early in the morning.

It was newish and great light as it had 2 windows that had a view. This is rare in hanoi. nice and light.

cleaned 3 times not 4 as promised in 2 weeks. They do refill bottles for water. I don't like this as where is the guarantee the filter is fresh. I informed the land lady the kettle I had had shocked me and badly. I was told they'll take a look at the feedback. I got shocked a further approximately 5 times. NOT pleasant. The metal was electrified but the plastic was OK. cleaning was hard to organise. The apartment door did not lock and I found this out halfway through the stay. I locked the door and I forget an item. So, I forgot I locked the door and this opened! The lock did not fit. whole time anyone could have entered. This made me feel wary for woman. Outside is very very busy. several times I was clipped by motorcycles. Once an old guy went by and shouldered me full on, while on his bike. I am lucky I am big. Also, the locals throw out dirty water frequently and hit me with water. Power cut off twice for a few minutes each time.
