La Barbaresque

We could not have been happier with our stay at La Barbaresque! It's an old house that has been fully renovated, so you have the charming feeling of living in a piece of history while enjoying it all in modern-day comforts. The renovation is brand new, everything was super clean, very tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped: you even have a washing machine and a dryer, and all kinds of appliances in the kitchen. We also really appreciated the huge number of leaflets and brochures that were provided, they were very practical in figuring out what we'd like to do exactly in the area. Although it was around 30-35 degrees during the day, the house did not get warm at all: we closed the shutters during the day and we opened them during the night. It was more than enough, but if someone is still afraid, there are several ventillators provided as well. The host, Sébastien is very nice. He welcomed us personally, made sure there was someone else with him in case we only spoke English and not French, and showed us everything around the apartment. He had a funny, great atmosphere around him and recommended us very good restaurants in Nant. And after our stay, he even mailed us the few things we left there by mistake! Nant itself is very lively, despite its small size. There are great restaurants, the bakery is divine, where they also make home-made ice-cream (also divine)! There's even an artisanal chocolate shop as well. When we go back to the area, we will definitely choose La Barbaresque again!

The only thing I missed was a pair of scissors, but other than that, I seriously can't think of anything else!
