Little River Farm Cottages

Lovely houses, nice generous rooms and bathrooms. Loved feeding the alpacas and wondering around the property. Also a small playground for the kids and plenty of firewood which was appreciated as it was a cold weekend!

The door was broken so we couldn’t lock the house. Also pretty expensive for additional guests (we booked for 4 adults and 2 kids but when the booking came through it only said for 4 people and was then an additional $35pp/night which adds up quickly over a few nights!). Also the shower temperature kept changing. Was ok as adults but a bit scary when the kids start screaming that the shower is suddenly burning hot! It was ok (wouldn’t have been hot enough to burn them and they jumped out anyway) but I ended up staying in there with them to keep adjusting it when it changed.

Great location, hidden in amongst the forest and away from busy roads. Loved being around the alpacas and sheep, great for bird watching too.

Didn’t love the bathroom, dark and dated. TV didn’t work (I know it’s good to switch off from technology sometimes but we like watching a movie to relax).

Although there were a few DVD there was no DVD player and no TV. Therefore a few games for entertainment would be good.

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic. The alpacas, sheep and all other wildlife were a highlight. Paddy was very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Sheep poo, but that's what you get being on a working farm! But it was a delight to have the sheep roaming around, you never knew where they would pop up!
