A simple and authentic stay on the edge of Essaouira, hosted by a young Moroccan artist and his French partner. The accommodation is clean, safe, and offers a pleasant local atmosphere, with a rooftop terrace that is undoubtedly one of its highlights.
Guests should be aware that the hosts live in the apartment and keep local hours, which means activity in the flat can continue until late at night.
The surrounding neighbourhood is residential and away from the tourist areas. I never experienced any safety issues during my stay, but solo female travellers may feel more comfortable returning by taxi after dark.
Overall, a good option for travellers looking for an authentic and affordable stay rather than a conventional hotel experience.
