The Space:
Willows Way consists of a single-storey open-plan living space with a kitchen housing an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, and toaster, along with dining seating and a sitting area with Smart TV and WiFi. The bedrooms comprise a double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC, plus a twin. There is also a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, an enclosed decking area with furniture provides space to linger in the sea air, and there is off-road parking for 2 cars. The shop is 1.1 miles, the pub 0.2 miles, and the beach 0.2 miles. Sorry, no smoking. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Settle into Willows Way for straightforward coastal days near Portpatrick’s harbour and sands. The Neighborhood:
Dating back some 500 years, the fishing village of Portpatrick features a small rocky bay, sheltered by cliffs, and was once a thriving seaport. Today known as the 'Jewel in the Crown of Galloway', it boasts a variety of stunning cliff-top walks, secluded bays and beaches, and a fine selection of harbour-side pubs, restaurants and gift shops. At the south end of the village visitors can find the Lighthouse Pottery, offering stunning views of the area, and evoking the sense of an amphitheatre, with a line of attractive buildings stretching across the skyline. Portpatrick is also home to one of the 30 life-boat stations in Scotland, offering an exhibition that is well worth a visit. There is an excellent beach with launching ramp, both rock and freshwater fishing, and several boats, which transport sea anglers out from the harbour to catch warsse, cod, mackerel, whiting, plaice and skate. With golfing, bowling, and tennis facilities close by, Portpatrick is the perfect location for a relaxing break.
