About this house rental

Perched at the water's edge, with the cliffs of the fjords of Newfoundland's south coast above — far from everything, short on nothing.

This isn't a place built to impress.

It's built to remove everything that usually does.

We tried to make it nice inside.

And, we did, honestly. There's a fireplace. A proper couch. A dining table that seats everyone. A kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable beds and quality linens. We spent a lot of time picking out throw pillows - the throw pillows, God help us, the throw pillows.

Then you look out the window and none of it matters.

The south coast of Newfoundland doesn't care about throw pillows. It doesn't care about much, actually. The cliffs across the cove have been standing there since before anyone had the nerve to settle here, and they'll be standing long after the last throw pillow has been thrown. The water is cold and dark and the sky is the biggest thing you've ever seen and the quiet - the quiet will take a full day, or two to get used to.

This cabin sits right at the edge of it. Literally. Walk out the door and you're at the water. The dock out front leads to nowhere useful. That's fine. Nobody comes to the south coast with a plan.

Communities here were resettled decades ago. Families uprooted, moved on, lives packed into boats, houses relocated and literally put on barges or floated across bays. What stayed behind is the land and the water - unchanged, unimpressed, completely magnificent.

What's here:

* Waterfront - the real kind, right at the door.
* Fireplace and outdoor Firepit because the south coast has opinions about weather and temperature.
* Hot Tub for relaxing after a day's exploration.
* Dock, open water, wilderness in every direction.
* Full kitchen for the long evenings you won't want to end.
* Resettled outport - history, silence, and few neighbours.
* Cell service? Occasionally. Consider it a feature.
* WiFi - Starlink so you can do just enough work to say you're hard at it or make those at home envious of what you've found.

You won't find a list of things to do.

You'll find space to sit, to watch, to think - or, not. A glimpse into traditional Newfoundland living. A coast yet to be discovered by tourism. All the elements you want, but none of the noise.

Comfort is here, but so is the edge of a wild environment all around you.

You feel both.

PETS: One (1) small (under 35 pounds) pet accepted, with restrictions. There is local wildlife that could prove a danger to your pet. Please ask prior to booking.

PRE-BOOKING GUEST NOTICE:

This is a remote, quiet coastal retreat designed for independent guests seeking a low-interaction, weather-exposed environment.

It is not suitable for parties, events, or social gatherings. Occupancy is strictly limited to registered guests only; no visitors; no exceptions. Violation will result in immediate removal from the property with no refund of fees paid.

Guests must be comfortable with changing coastal weather conditions, limited on-site support, and strict adherence to house instructions and quiet-use expectations.

If you are looking for highly flexibility, informal rental arrangement, or a social gathering stay environment, this property is not a good fit for you.

If this aligns with your expectations, you are welcome to proceed with a booking request.
