Cabin in Flathead Lake, MT

About this cabin rental
This classic lake cabin in Polson sits just 25 feet from Flathead Lake, with 85 feet of private waterfront and a dock ready for long, easy days outside. The interior is historic original cabin, but it’s well cared for, thoughtfully stocked, and has everything you need for a relaxed stay focused on swimming, kayaking, boating, and being together.
Inside, you’ll find comfy beds (1 queen in the first bedroom, 2 queens in the second), hot showers after long sun-soaked afternoons, a fully equipped kitchen with two full-size refrigerators (perfect for groups), and a cozy wood-burning fireplace for cooler evenings. Two TVs and a movie collection make for simple, nostalgic nights in.
Outside is where this place really shines. Grill lunch and dinner lakeside, eat under the covered picnic area, sip coffee on the balcony overlooking the water, and launch one of the two pontoon kayaks straight from your private dock. The spacious yard gives kids room to roam while the grown-ups relax nearby.
Seasonal Note:
Photos for this listing were taken on April 1, 2026, during early spring when the lake is seasonally lowered. The lake is drawn down each winter and gradually refills in the spring, typically reaching full levels by Memorial Day and remaining full through the summer before being lowered again around October. While the photos show reduced water levels, guests visiting in season can expect the water to be up to the dock.
There’s no A/C, but the lake breeze and open windows keep things comfortable in the summer months.
This is an easygoing, unfussy lake house made for families and friends who plan to spend most of their time outside — on the water, in the sun, and gathered around the grill at the end of the day.
Simple. Clean. On the lake. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
