Overlooking the harbour along the River Esk, you’ll be treated to views of the striking life-size replica of Captain Cook’s HMS Endeavour right from your window.

Step outside and onto Whitby’s bustling streets with independent shops and traditional fish and chip restaurants. A 350-metre stroll takes you to Pannett Park, a lovely green space with a museum and playground. On the eastern side of the river, climb the famous 199 Steps to the atmospheric ruins of Whitby Abbey. Spend the day at the beach, or If you fancy venturing further afield, the coastal village of Robin Hood’s Bay is 6 miles away, while the breathtaking landscapes of the North York Moors are easily accessible via the nearby train station 400 metres from your door.
