Close to the heart of the cheerful seaside town of Southwold, this beautifully updated traditional cottage makes a lovely retreat for families, couples and friends. Within easy reach of the beach, the property has been tastefully furnished and charmingly decorated to provide a cosy, relaxing backdrop for walkers, beach fans and nature lovers enjoying a coastal break in a breathtaking part of Suffolk. Offering ample accommodation for up to five guests, this bright and colourful getaway is ideally situated close to the high street and makes a delightful base for exploring the area’s stunning coastline and glorious countryside.
The cottage features an inviting lobby with additional seating and storage space before you head through to the fresh lounge. With a TV, feature fireplace and comfortable furniture, this is an ideal space for everyone to sit back and unwind after a fantastic day. Exploring further, the spacious country-style dining room is perfect for sharing fantastic family meals which you can rustle up in the traditional kitchen nearby. Cottage-style stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find a refreshing bathroom and three cosy bedrooms. The first is a cheery king-size room with a TV and a handy en-suite shower room; there’s also a lovely double and a sweet single. From the dining area, French doors open onto a pretty paved courtyard with garden furniture, providing a pleasant and relaxing spot to enjoy breakfast before heading out to explore this cheerful seaside town.
The beach is just 200 metres away, with the famous Gun Hill cannons just a short stroll to the south, and the pier, lighthouse and model boat pond to the north. Southwold is also home to a vintage cinema and a host of friendly pubs and restaurants. The picturesque village of Walberswick is just over a mile away.
