About this cottage rental
This getaway for four guests lies in a peaceful Norfolk location, making a fantastic base for keen walkers, boat enthusiasts, nature spotters and anglers. Sitting between Stalham (2 miles) and Smallburgh (1.5 miles), the property is perfect for discovering the Broads. Barton Turf Adventure Centre (3 miles) lies along the northern edge of Barton Broad, a great spot for sailing and viewing wildlife. St Benet's Abbey and the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum are within 8.5 miles. Wroxham Barns, Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve and Hickling Broad are all within 11 miles. Spot the seal colony at Horsey Gap (9.5 miles) or visit the popular seaside destination of Cromer (16 miles). Wroxham (6 miles), known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, offers plenty to do for families, couples and nature lovers, or if you’re looking for dramatic coastal scenery, visit Happisburgh (6 miles) or Mundesley (10 miles).
Entering this welcoming holiday hideaway, which has been elegantly converted from an 18th-century granary building, head upstairs and into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Featuring a high vaulted ceiling with original timber beams, the cheery lounge has ample seating and a Smart TV, with a sweet dining table over by the window. To the rear, the fully equipped kitchen has plenty of storage and workspace. From this charming room, a door leads onto a characterful balcony with outdoor furniture, offering an ideal space to sit out, dine alfresco and take in the lovely views along the river. When it's time to turn in for the night, head back downstairs, where you will find two delightful bedrooms. The first is a charming double room with a refreshing en-suite shower room, and the second is a cosy twin room with a lovely en-suite bathroom.
Stepping outside, there's a sheltered space providing a perfect spot for sitting back and relaxing in the shade or for sitting by the river and enjoying some fishing. There is a mooring for a small boat available if required, and you will also have access to gym equipment, a heated indoor pool and a sauna, which are shared with the four other properties on-site. Private parking is available for two cars.
