Gather together as a group in the large open-plan living area, a vibrant, brightly-lit space with room for everyone to enjoy good food and great company throughout the day. Elsewhere, enjoy a relaxing soak in the family bathroom’s roll-top tub, the ideal preparation for a long, restful night’s sleep in either the en–suite king-size bedroom or the twin bedroom close by, with plenty of storage space and numerous excuses for longer than usual lie-in. Take morning coffee or fire up the BBQ at supper time on the decked area, with a private enclosed wildflower garden and captivating views beyond, keeping a lookout for the owls, deer, buzzards and woodpeckers who call this area home.
Head into Stradbroke (within 500 metres) to stock up on holiday essentials, entertain the children or enjoy an evening pint after dinner. Various footpaths spring from the country lanes surrounding the cottage, taking in the scenic countryside along the way. Thornham Walks (10.5 miles) is one for ardent ramblers. For an authentic taste of Suffolk, head to Diss, Eye and Framlingham (all within 10 miles) where there is something to entertain visitors of all ages.
