For more traditional seaside fun, the popular resort town of Eastbourne is just 4.5 miles away and boasts a long beach, vibrant pier, and plenty of shops and places to eat – including fish and chips! For outdoor adventures, the coast path passes the end of the road, while the South Downs National Park and High Weald National Landscape are both within 6 miles – perfect for days of hiking and cycling. Lovers of history will enjoy a visit to Pevensey Castle (1.5 miles) and Herstmonceux Castle (5.5 miles).
