Set on a peaceful, family-run farm on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just 5 miles from the vibrant market town of Cockermouth, is a charming upside-down barn conversion that sleeps six guests. Ideal for families or groups of friends, this beautifully designed cottage offers easy access to the tranquil lakes of Bassenthwaite (5 miles) and Derwentwater (13 miles), perfect for scenic walks and picnics. Hikers will appreciate the proximity to iconic fells like Skiddaw (9 miles) and Blencathra (17 miles), while the sandy beaches of Allonby (13 miles) offer a refreshing coastal escape. Visit Armathwaite Hall Spa (4.5 miles) for an indulgent day of relaxation. Nearby, Cockermouth is full of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants serving delicious local fare. For day trips, you’re just a short drive from The Lakes Distillery (3.5 miles) and the Lake District Wildlife Park (4.5 miles).


Thoughtfully designed to maximise the panoramic views, this retreat features an upside-down layout. On the ground floor, you'll find a welcoming hallway leading to a bedroom with a super-king-size bed (twin available on request) — along with a modern shower room. Upstairs, the first floor is home to a twin bedroom, and a king bedroom, a family bathroom with shower over bath, and a spacious open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, while the lounge area offers beautiful views across the fells and includes a Smart TV for your entertainment. Guests also have access to a shared laundry room with washing machines, books, DVDs, and board games. Adjacent is a well-equipped games room with a pool table, dart board, extra seating, and a music system — perfect for rainy days or evening fun.


Outside, you’re welcome to enjoy the shared outdoor space — have a peaceful picnic by the pond, meet friendly farm animals like goats and alpacas, or even say hello to some resident owls.
