Discover quiet walks and cycle rides on footpaths and lanes through the gentle Suffolk landscape. Fressingfield has a grocery store and well-regarded pubs serving home-cooked food, with more shops and historic buildings such as Framlingham Castle in the lively market town of Framlingham (9 miles). Halesworth (10.5 miles) has two fine museums: one exhibiting local history, the other (the Halesworth Airfield Memorial Museum) housing a collection of World War II memorabilia. Valley Farm Vineyards (9 miles) offers tours and testing sessions, and you can meet llamas, alpacas, meerkats and many more animals at the Oasis Camel Park (5 miles). Woodbridge (21 miles) a beautiful spot with a river and cinema. For a day at the seaside, head to the sandy beach at charming Southwold (19 miles).
