This delightful second-floor apartment sits high within the historic walls of Ludlow Castle, offering couples or friends a one-of-a-kind stay – think original beams, low ceilings and a quirky layout tucked up among the eaves. It’s an unbeatable location, right in the heart of Ludlow on the Herefordshire/Shropshire/Wales border and surrounded by natural beauty. The castle itself plays host to events throughout the year and features an on-site café, restaurant and gift shop for you to visit. The local market is 300 metres away, and you can take early-bird walks along the River Teme for which runs alongside the castle. Keen walkers can hop on the 30-mile Mortimer Trail (2 miles) from Ludlow to Kington, or venture 10 miles north to the Shropshire Hills Natural Landscape for a 6.5-mile round hike up to Flounders’ Folly.
On arrival, climb the internal stairs to reach this bright and spacious second-floor apartment. You’ll be greeted by light-filled contemporary interiors and a welcoming layout, all spread across an impressively large footprint.
